Physio recommendation for pulley injuries?
December 09, 2020, 09:01:01 pm
Does anyone know a physio who understands climbing and specialises in (or at least is fairly experienced with) pulley injuries who they would recommend?
I've got a long running niggle that has flared up again and I want to be sure I'm doing the right sort of stuff to it.
I'm north west based but any location is fine if they do appointments over zoom.
Thanks!

  • Getting fatter, not fitter.
i usually see John Ostrovskis in Sheffield, drive over from Manchestershire. https://www.919clinic.co.uk  I bet there's loads more local people will recommend though.

Not had finger injuries but default physio is Steve Hodgson at Hallamshire Physiotherapy though did bump into James Walker at the crag who said he specialised in finger injuries

I saw Paul Houghoughi at BWT physio for a pulley injury that wasn’t properly healing given the usual treatment. I can’t recommend him enough. I saw him over zoom during lockdown, he had a completely different approach for me that involved a weighted hangs protocol. It was exactly what was needed to get over a pulley injury that just wouldn’t heal fully. I think he’s the best in the UK that I know of.
