Quality place. Tucked in Sydneys Northern suburbs and easily accesible by public transport and a short walk. Its in a lovely little spot in the bush (ha-ha) and has probably 150 odd up probs and quite a few traverses. Its mostly vertical, technical walls (and a lot of highball stuff but with good landings for the most part) and one overhanging cave (with a classic juggy V3 Pipe dreams and the easiest V8 in the world, Rubble). Most of the grades are sub V6 so its a good place to knock off quite a bit in a few hours and theres loads of scope for variations and eliminates.

This has got to be the best bit of GRIT! (or it certainly feels like it) outside of the Peak although its a bit lacking in slopers. Plenty of nice sharp ironstone crimps tho.

The classics to do are Window Route, Ralphs arete V4, Kims Arete V4 (just for the fat sloper fun), anything on the Kenny boulder, and the Abseil Wall arete (bit necky without a spot) and the traverse, Corals V5.

Check it out  :D  :8)

I remember doing some sort of tricky flared crack from a sitter which was OK. Liked the stuff on the Kenny boulder. You been to Crumbly or the Wing Cave yet, that's where the beef's at?

Nah, only just moved into a place and been sorting a lot of shit out so only been out to Lindfield twice. Its been fucking boiling hot the last couple of days (38 in Sydney yesterday!! ) - Not really good conditions but I was there today and it was pushing 30 but not too bad in the shade and breeze.

Wing will have to wait till I get a car (or a lift) 'cos Sutherland's a bit of a trek. Not been able to mail any of the names you gave me 'cos I've been so busy but finally got a home connection and a bit of time so I will be soon.

Cheers

Wing is tricky to get to without a car, but the Villa's is easy to get to by train and worth a trip for Savage and Paul's Roof.

If you are without a car Queenspark is a good bet, good public transport links and some very good problems, make sure you bring a good mat as some of the probs are above a tarmac footpath.

Yo Carnage :)

Can't believe your not camped out at Pissy Crag (get you heels off).
Aaron's just come back from Sydney and said that it was hot a fook.

Word on the street is that Bungonia Gorge is full of some wicked font style action.  Bit of a walk in but worth it as the potential is huge.

The other option is my place  http://www.climbing.com.au/news/news.php?page=news_uber_231102.htm

which the lazy bastards have not bothered to go to

Hope all is well

Good, but not a patch on Shipley Glenn IMO and much less of it.

Alright Dylan mate,

Yeah, I heard about Bungonia from a guy at the local wall. He said it was fucking quality with loads of pristine water polished boulders. He was also saying the landings are absolutely attrocious.......nice!!  but I'll defo be checking it out.
