Raven Tor night session
February 19, 2020, 05:25:47 pm
Just a few questions, is it generally accepted to use lamps at night at raven Tor, are conditions generally any decent there at night and how wet does powerband get or is it pretty permadry (this is for a months time and not now! Nothing is dry anywhere at the moment haha!)

It's ok as far as I know, though I stand to be corrected by those more knowledgeable. Conditions can be pretty good, with the obvious caveats about seepage etc.

Powerband is far from permadry and was gopping yesterday along with everything else apart from Bens.

I don’t have a view on lamping but it is common practice there. Maybe it confuses the fish.

I assumed everything is wet at the moment but was hoping for the country to dry out at some point. Does it take much seepage? how many dry days does it usually take to get it dry?

It’s dry. I’m going again on Friday but my enthusiasm is waning

1. Yes.
2. It's broadly seasonal - it's not so much like Parisellas where a dry week can fix things, more like it usually dries out in the spring and then stays largely dry until the autumn (apart from occasional runoff or if it's a bad year). I'd be surprised if it were dry in a month given how wet it's been recently, unless we get an exceptionally dry, sunny and windy month.
