Silent Laughter - Giggleswick South
April 10, 2017, 08:43:34 am
I had a play on this yesterday. The start, to the top of the groove, seemed pretty brutal with some sharp crimps and pockets. Got up to though so I'm sure I can refine a sequence.

After this, you move left and gain a good jug and a good side-pull (going up to the 4th bolt). This section seemed to be the crux but I couldn't work it out. Feet were shite for the left foot and the hand holds didn't seem much better...

Given it's top 50 it seems to have not that many ticks logged on UKC (about half are DNF) so hopefully I'm just missing a trick... I was surprised to see a lot of O/C and flash listed though.

Does anyone have any decent beta?

All I can remember was using my thumb (possibly both thumbs) on some undercuts to get established around the little overlap at the top of the groove. That was definitely the bit that seemed hardest. Can't remember much else as it was a long time ago.
