Having just moved from Sheffield, and in lieu of slitting my wrists, is there ANY bouldering near Oxford?

I believe Oxford Brooks College has a climbing wall of sorts. I was recently considering taking  a job in Reading, and googled for walls etc in the area, and this was pretty much it (apart from going to London). Reading had nothing as far as I could tell.

I live in Oxford and have done for the past year. I have mainly made trips to the Southern Sandstone recently, probably the closest outside rock. Although there is no rock within an evenings drive it does have the advantage that it's about the same distance to them all (look on it as a positive and all   ).
As for walls then there is indeed a wall at Oxford Brookes but it's not the best bouldering wall - only about 10 degrees overhanging and the students set the problems (since most of them are just starting out they are somewhat variable in quality and there's not much there above Font 7a, as for routes there's nothing above 7b+). Last week I went to Gloucester wall which is about 1hr drive away so not too bad if you are desperate. Give me a PM if you want any more information - I have a little system board in my department with Simon S's excellent holds (must post a pic when I get a digital camera)

Yes, the bouldering is pants. Gollum's cave has its devotees, which don't include me. Better and easier to get to (for you) would be  Bathford Woods, near Bath. I will send you a pm, if you want directions (and a bit of a description of what's there).

Surely you don't want to be giving out info on the infamous Bathford? I was under the impression you were against the idea of interest being taken in the place.
