Ended up with a pair of speedsters of banana fingers site and used their size calculator,  the speedsters are crazy ass in the toebox, do they flex out much at all or am i fighting a loosing battle?

They will stretch out a bit, but they'll remain the most uncomfortable shoe you'll ever try.
On anything edgy you end up pushing straight onto the toenail, which is not pleasant. Plus, as soon as you raise your heel to reach higher, they roll off with no sign of warning.
On big rounded plastic holds are fine. Heel is terrible regardless.

They won't change much in length but they will bag out slightly in the toebox. They're a great shoe if you get on with the last (same as the testarossa and genius). I personally prefer the PD75 last which is used on the futura, solution, muira, etc.

I thought the speedster heel was decent for a slipper. Certainly Adam Ondra and Nicco Ceria amongst others don't seem hindered by it! We agree that they aren't very comfy though.
