one nice italian wool navy blue suit - interviews, graduation and weddings.

one black-tie evening suit - double breasted which was a mistake, should have got single breasted. wore about once a week during uni - thats what you get at an old collegiate university! I also got a selection of the accompnying bowties, cumerbund, appropriate shirts etc.

My ambition is to owna  second-hand tan corduroy suit, preferably with brownleather elbow patches

I am a 2 suit owner... One Jeff Banks number with slight fish tail, for interviews, weddings, etc.- unfortunately I got it at a time when I'd been gathering inspiration by method for the alcoholic bouldering diaries and the bleedin' slacks have got a 38" waist on them....

The other is a bad to t' bone brown tweed number with big blue checks- bought for a reasonable 21 quid from the RSPCA... I normally wear it on 'dress down day' when all the other numpties turn up looking ragged and boring....

I refuse to believe any of your shirts could be considered 'approriate' dave

I have 5, as I used to have to wear one every day for work, but can proudly say i have worn one for one day(interview for job I ddint get) since then. One was a fatboy one i had to buy when I put on weight while recovering from back injury. Fits me like a sack now, so gave it to my brother.

I have one that's left over from graduations etc.
The other I left in Sheffield so that I would not be tempted to ever get a job in an office again

I've got one double breasted one that I'd never wear again, plus 'the' suit that does for weddings, christenings and funerals! Sorted.
