Very cool.
On a side note, my tribulations with the TZR are not over yet.
I had to replace the oil seals in the forks, 30 years old rubber innit, and I decided to take to another mechanic, not the one who rebuilt the engine after I blew it past April.
So, I had the engine rebuilt, got the bike back, she ran like shit. Completely blocked at 8.000 rpms, barely managed to make it up my garage steep ramp, much to the amusement of the neighbours. Gulped big mouthfuls of bile and took her back. Turns out it was a badly set YPVS valve...
Went to collect her, had a little run (bad forks and oil on the disc - but this I knew), not too bad but not as before. Got stuck in the garage ramp, I am probably laughed at on YouTube. Nearly dropped her. Buckets of bile again.
So I went to this other guy, driving like a madman because she runs properly only above 8.000 rpms this time...
The new mechanic found some other bits and bobs to be fixed (new front brake line, etc.) and confirmed the carburation is shit.
So, hopefully she'll be fine soon, but I am quite pi**ed. Not for the faults in themselves, but because clearly the other guy didn't even try her - twice - and doesn't care.

 :o

That is a fine machine, but who is actually going to be able to ride it? All that power and no mention of electonic rider aids / traction control  :o

I'd never dare, personally.
On a side note, I'd love to see MotoGP ban all electronics.

Tempted to say I'm with you there Lore. Worth remembering that street bikes are putting out 50% more power than the two stroke monsters of yore - although their power delivery is a good argument against the electronic aids now.
Development in rubber is staggering too.

I hope your woes with the TZR are getting sorted. Sorry, I thought I'd replied.

Had a good chat about grey imports earlier. Rare autumn blast out to Matlock for chips on Sunday evening. There are a lot of riders on older machinery - nothing here post 2000, which is good to see.

Just wondering what you're running the TZR on Lore? For bikes on carbs, the E10 fuel is bad news. Mine could do with a strip down/clean.

I'll post up some more "Two Stroke Heaven" later.

Ciao.

Cool scenes there Dave, I'm a bit envious, it's been raining lots here as of late...
I usually put the 98 octane fuel in both bikes, but can't sincerely notice any difference while riding...
The TZR should be ready in a few days, hopefully! I can't wait to have her back home and running properly!
On a side note, I found a nice CNC machined lower clamp for the SV on internet...

Brilliant re the clamp  ;D
Sorry, being very quick here. I'll post up some billet later for you.
Re the fuel, it's not so much for the running, but protection of the internals, carbs etc.
I hadn't realised how damaging it is.

Just in case anyone's interested, there's this excellent pair of Goldtop Trophy boots for sale at a very good price on eBay.

I have to say, I'm less taken by some of the vintage helmets  ;)

Bought a cheap action cam the other day, and tried it this past Sunday on the first sunny day in ages.
17 minutes of Tuscan roads. Now I can't wait to take it on track.
P.S. sound starts at 2:20.

Hey Lore, I love the sound of your bike rolling on/off throttle.
They look like great roads. The surface looks a bit dodgy in places, but good bends.
I enjoyed watching that. Thank you  :2thumbsup:

Roll on Sumner.

How much was the camera? I'll have a look online ;)

Hey Dave! Sorry for the late reply, I've only just seen your post!
Yes, the roads' surface is a bit dodgy in places, mostly good but in some areas it's getting worse year after year: the problem is that the roads sit on a sort of clay ground which moves a lot with sun and rain...
In any case it's just another good excuse for me going very slow...  ;D

The action camera was only 29 Euros on eBay (this one https://www.ebay.it/itm/252364783259), and it shows. It does the job and sincerely the image quality is good (I can't remember which resolution I chose, I think 30 fps at 1080 pixels but I'm not sure). The main issues are that I still haven't learnt how to make a continuous video, so it films for 10 minutes, then stops and automatically starts another video of 10 minutes and so on. It's no big deal, but then I have to join the videos together online and it takes forever.
The other problem is that the battery doesn't last long at all. On the day of the video it only lasted for one our or so, while I had 5 hours of video memory. It was very cold though. I'll try again very soon with higher film quality!
I thing I'm probably going on track next week, weather permitting, so I'll try to make some more exciting videos...

You jammy bugger  :great:

Thanks for the info about the camera. I was going to ask.

Watching this last night made me think very carefully about my own bike. I could do with upgrading the front I think, but a bit of closed tarmac action would make a bigger difference to my riding  ;D

Check out the two strokes at the beginning. The 350LC @ 1'45" sold for over £12K ! Look after your TZR  :2thumbsup:
I'm going to do some serious hunting around.

The 750 ss Ducati was even featured in a Chanel advert with a leather-clad Keira Knightley. Good stuff, amazing bike! And the others obviously are as stunning. The AJS is absolutely fantastic, I think she still has the all time record for highest auction sale.
As for my TZR... well she's still at the mechanic's... I'm a bit scared to call him for updates...
I often check The Bike Specialist's website for what I call psicho-shopping, in which you just drool over things you can't afford. The last time I checked they had lots of stunning bikes, even a few Desmosedici and the Domiracer. Sadly no Bimota, which is an old crush of mine.
Right, time to ride now, it's sunny out there.

Probably a bit warmer where you are!

This one. Beautiful bike. Good to see she gets flat hair from wearing the helmet  ;)

There you go.

Even worse roads than last time... my friend lost the rear twice, doing 50 kph...
Still good fun though.

I confess, I've not watched your video properly yet Lore, but the weather is looking fabulous there.

Warmer here too:

Ahah there's not much to watch in my video Dave apart from the sun and the landscape!
On a side note: do not buy that action cam unless you can keep it plugged to a charger. Battery life is extremely short, especially in the cold. I think I'm going to buy another one soon.
Now then.
Endurance style bikes are probably the ones I like most. Those are stunning. I think it could be that long distance riding requires less extreme designs.
And finally the TZ... that's the perfect bike.
But imagine having a crush for the girl and then finding out the truth!
 :'(
Going back to bikes, I really like XTR Don Pepo's ones, that are also endurance-inspired, but definitely extreme! Alas some of them are a bit copy/paste...
And then there's this:
