Defiance- The Eiger Paraclimb
February 18, 2016, 04:24:15 pm
Awesome Walls Sheffield are hosting a World first expedition lecture: THE EIGER PARACLIMB on Wednesday 24th February and Awesome Walls Liverpool will be hosting a second showing on Thursday 25th February at Liverpool Cathedral

Paraclimbers Jay Owen (who is autistic), John Churcher (who has 3% vision), and Alex Taylor (who has MS) took on the infamous Eiger mountain, assisted by Mark McGowan and Colin Gourlay, to raise awareness of what can be achieved in adventure, despite disability. Their journey was wrought with challenges and the team were required to constantly adapt and innovate new approaches to ensure their success.

This profound tale of human connection and determination will challenge your perception of disability and the limitations of mountaineering.

All money from the talk will be going to the awesome cause of The Guide Dogs for the Blind Association (UK).

Places are booking up quickly, so give us a call today and reserve your place.
Sheffield: 0114 244 6622
Liverpool: 0151 298 2422

Adults £7:00 Juniors/Concessions £5:00
Start time: 19:30

Everyone who attends will be automatically entered into a raffle kindly supported by BMC, Tiso and Awesome Walls.

for those of us who can't make it, is it possible to "buy" a full video of the lecture for a donation?
