I was always in. But now I'm publicly in. Goal: get more lean.

1: 8 minutes
5: 16 minutes

The rules say 30 minutes. Back around.

I challenge you to do a proper Tabata workout for 30'.

aw shucks, I've been caught out again.

14 indoor routes on self belay.  This low calorie/0.5% Erdinger is suprisingly good.

Chambers, my comment was in fact aimed at Munch, who said/joked that the 8 and 16 minutes Tabata sessions do not cover the 30 required minutes of the Sharkathon.
I've done some Tabata and I know that just one set is more than enough for me. Four endless minutes of hell on Earth.

1 - 0
2 - indoor bouldering + short run
3 - indoor routes + short run
4 - 1.5 hours gym.

5 - 2 hours indoor bouldering with auto-belay warm-ups. Unmotivated and grumpy. Skin was appallingly weak and soft despite looking after it well (rest days, not overdoing it, bio-oil). Noticably weaker than 3 weeks ago despite lots of training then Xmas rest then decent sharking.
6 - nothing, sulking about car.

Edit: Now got some 0.5% Erdinger hype, that's cheered me up.

1 - weights session
2 - core and theraband
3 - CV session at home
4 - quick jog to try get some photos at breakwater in near darkness, then 2 hour session at wall. Felt OK, but heavy
5 - 20 min walk, light core session
6 - 40 min walk, 2 hour wall session. Climbed OK, but feeling jaded. Mates left early and I was 1 of 2 actually bouldering, but ended up just lapping a few easier problems - (I guess working towards 4 x 4s, but more like 3 x 3s)

Is that a new very slim rope?

week one
At least 30 mins per day mostly bike with one run and one rowing machine session. Plus two 2 hours wall sessions. weekly average weight was 81.2kg down to 80.8Kg so a pretty slow start but at least heading in the right direction. Also all the Christmas goodies have gone from the fridge so things might pick up a bit now.

Cycled to the Westway and had a couple of hours - twelve routes including two I couldn't get near on Tuesday.  The comeback is on  :boxing:

My leaving drinks from work tonight so my calorie count is off for today....

Calorie counting is bunkum anyway.

Anything interesting lined up?

7 - 2 hours indoor bouldering, had a laugh with Tris and ended up climbing a bit better, shirt off and fan on so my skin wasn't so trashed, I did end up with chalk in my anal beard though. 20 mins run inc 30 seconds walking, felt better than recent runs, I'm counting that as 30 mins for non-crips and thus compensating for yesterday's omission.

Apparently a triple shot coffee at lunch is the key.

1/1 - an hour or so of lugging around and chopping up wood. Playing with axes is fun. Counterbalanced by too much eating and drinking.
2/1 - Beacon for a wall session. Got pumped on the roof circuits. Still too much food although less bad than yesterday. Winding down the holiday celebrations.
3/1 - mix of generic pushups, weights and that sort of thing. My finger feels a bit sore from yesterday, I think I've maybe bruised it somehow but I'm not going to fingerboard on it just in case.
4/1 - weigh in at 75kg. Oh dear. Wall is all being reset so I do some pulp sets and then potter home, where I have a go at a 7:3 fingerboard session, which feels very hard in my current state. I guess I'm basically doing it all with weight added compared to the last time I was on these.
5/1 - finger completely better.  :dance1:. Turbo trainer session - Sufferfest "The Hunted". Hard work.
6/1 - wall session. Good progress on several problems. Too busy to do stamina and had forgotten good shoes for the board. Some pullups.
7/1 - wall session. More problems worked out for ancap circuit. Some time on the board. Tried some triples bit couldn't really make it work, have to try different problems. Pullups to finish.

Aim is to complete 30 minutes of exercise every day in January.

Any exercise counts from fingerboarding to yoga - even stretching, at a stretch.

That said, I didn't do last year because I was in Arco the first week and needed a couple of complete rest days when I got back.

1: 5.5 mile muddy walk.
2: Short walk.
3: Driving in driving rain.
4: 45 mins walk, 2 hrs fingerboard/stretching. No booze.
5: 30 mins walk, 2.5 hrs at the wall. Felt fat and weak. No booze. Serious DOMS and inability to sleep well!
6: FAIL
7: 1.5 lacklustre hours at the deserted, cold, damp wall with negative psyche levels.

Min 1h30 walking last few days. Watched some people top-roping surrounded by tourists taking photos. swam 5 mins. Still catching up from the night bus from Bangkok.

Not too much booze. Good food.

7- ten minute run in pissing rain from bus stop to train station to get car after all trains cancelled due to flooding. 25 min cardio at home - realised I'm skiing in 3.5 weeks, and not done much cardio in a while.

Succumbed to bacon roll this morning, as of Monday going cold turkey - no more crap food. No booze since bottle of beer on Monday.

Chris, do those T-nation 4 minute things, using some form of squats for the leg bit, then switch to deadlifts. They'll sort you out for skiing.
