Bouldering abroad with no car??
February 20, 2015, 11:07:46 pm
Thinking of going on a bouldering trip this summer, and was wondering, if without a car where are the best options? is don't fancy font in August in to be honest.
Not looking on spending loads of money either, so somewhere a bit nearer to the UK would be ideal (spain, france etc). Never been to albarracin, does anyone know what this would be like with no vehicle?
Any suggestions welcome
Thanks

albarracin was only  five minute drive from the campsite to the boulders, but that could be an hours walk. don't know about public transport there.
magic wood is very good without a car. the campsite there is cheap, but i guess everything else is going to be damn expensive in switzerland these days

Ailefroide is doable without a car, haven't been yet so can't comment on quality and not sure it's that extensive but it should be alright in August. Cresciano, Chironico, Targasonne and Val di Mello are all good and accessible without a car, might be a bit warm in August for any of those though.
