we've got lino

I quite like it

I try not to wear stilettos in the bathroom

Good point.. It'd need a heavy duty piss mat for any stiletto wearing standing toilet users....

Build up:

WBP Plywood (size as desired, may have to door shave sozza)
Four corner spot-fixed tessellating beer mats
Glazing (see Pilks for details)

Bingo, got yourself a novelty floor. Could also add underfloor heating given some tweaking to the build up!

Can I get a blade for the jigsaw to cut out the hole in the glass for the crapper? ;) or tin bucket in the corner for full novelty effect?

Actually having had a look just now at ours I haven't got a fucking clue what it is, it's in board segments like laminate, but has the slightly soft feel of Lino. Christ knows what it is.

This maybe?

We've got it in our bathroom and bog and it's warm enough underfoot (can put heating uder it if feeling hedonistic), was OK to install (although I didn't do it!) and easy to clean.

You could be the proud owner of an authentic American dive bar style toilet here Tom!
