Been quiet here so might as well post this delightful Cheshire esoteria, to be found somewhere on Runcorn Heath. Sit start LH in seam RH on edges, move up and right then straight up. A bit spoilt by a little grotty rock at the level of the tree (and the tree, which is close but out) but I enjoyed the climbing. Quite a fierce little sequence at the start.

There are many many things that should be checked out before this. It's very 'local.'

It looks a damn sight better than Kudos wall for starters.

I'm liking the Crag X style location. My Heath knowledge is rusty, is it anywhere near the Warden's Hut? Once bumped into a topless photo shoot there. Not boulderers.

There is this page to the main buttress on UKC which was put together by a local sport/indoor climber (I use the term loosely as to my knowledge, he no longer climbs).  The guy not being familiar with the sandstone ethos prevalent at most esoteric Cheshire venues i.e. chips are out! the topo doesn't do justice, nor name any of the "proper" boulder problems. (I define "proper" here as "climbed by people I know"...)

In addition, the harder lines he's put on the topo, he did not climb.

I have a topo I knocked up somewhere at home so will dig this out and post it here. Props to Andy for continuing to put lines up here.

Definitely scope for some kind of mini guide/Cheshire sandstone update type thing with Stonehills Lane etc

Thanks, can't make a huge amount of sense of the UKC guide and there's clearly more to it than that. Stonehills Lane is new to me so I'll have a peek sometime. Ta!
