No, i can't even skate, but i watch. Keep thinking i ought to get into playing, or inline hockey, but never have got round to it.

The facilities don't exactly help - when I went to the Sheffield rink, all you could do was wobble round in big circles for half the session, and then wobble round the other way for the other half. I didn't go back.

Yes queen's road is a bit ropey, but it has a certain charm. However sometime this year the new Ice Sheffield thing will be finished. Its next to the Arena, gonna be a twin pad ice centre, all mod cons - looks shit hot. When that opens i recon queen's road will close. Theres also Virtual Ice at Rotherham which is a plastic rink for inline skating and hockey. I belive theres another inline rink in Sheff anall.
