Dinas Rock

Can anyone tell me what evening conditions at Dinas Rock are going to be like given the current hot weather? Doable or a waste of time? Also is the 27 crags topo the best one online?

The top crag is lovely in the evenings, but a bit midgey. Bring some insect repellant.
The cave routes at the bottom (opposite kennelgarth) are not midgey.
The best topo is

The main crag page (
http://www.southwalesmountaineering.org.uk/wiki/Dinas_Main_Crag
) has a good picture topo at the bottom.
What are you looking to get on? When are you coming?

Cheers. Next week, I'll be on my own so just bouldering. Does Kennelgarth get evening sun?

Is this better than the 27 crags one?

Ah right, bouldering (shame!
).
No, it's great in the evenings. You'll have a good time.

Kennelgarth gets evening shade, and is one of the least "conditions-y" places I've ever climbed. Make sure you check out the bouldering at the main crag too - even if just at the end of a session.

On the subject of dinas, does anyone know if the cave project is still a project? I tried it when I was last down there and it felt hard but doable for the first section at least
