ZoomTopo for Stanage
July 22, 2014, 11:59:34 am
Thought folks might be interested in this, a couple of mates have been building a zoomable topo with info overlays, which the BMC have put some money into. Have a play and see what you think:

Nice that. Doesn't seem to show any routes on the side wall. Is this fixable?

I find the zoom level detail incredible, cant quite make out the individual pebbles on the routes though.

Who's in the stretcher!!

I thought about routes on side walls too, would probably need images added to do that and some kind of change of angle control.

Grimer stop teasing them!

I initially thought this was by Dan Arkle  from 2006 (50 pictures with a point and shoot manually stitched over 40hrs), but its not  so it could be Johnny in the stretcher, except....the report says he fell at the Plantation.

Slackline can claim his £5.

I think Dan reshot the whole thing - at one point I had one of the original prints hanging on my wall, and a grand thing it was too.

Excellent, its reminded me of something from long ago and I used it to identify a route.

That's very good, kudos to your mates.

Maybe a small bug (and they're possibly aware already) but if you deselect showing routes with given stars they still show.
If you start by deselecting all routes then selecting the desired stars then it shows only those routes. (That make sense?)
