Listened to a bit of this when I got in from the Works party on Saturday night.  Dizzy 9 and Beyer on the same night.  Now that's really something...  http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio1/essentialmix/

Anyone hear this on Colin Murray?

Nina Gordon covers Straight Outa Compton

Quite nice really.

What an excellent and beautiful cover. If only all gangsta rap could be covered like that, then i could cruise through the hood listening to that! Thanks Bubba [fixed your grotesque mistake]

Loving the angel with the potty mouth. Anyone else liking this should check out The Gourds' cover of Snoop's 'Laidback' (or gin & juice or whatever its called, I'm no wigga)

gin and juice. i've discovered it is possible to tire of it, although not when rolling through bakewell with the windows down and the system up.

For those who don't like megaupload its currently being seeded at The Mixing Bowl (the only place to get your EM's from, fresh every week).

Yep but its on a minidisc on the other side of the world which obviously isn't much help.  I may well rip this when I get back to the UK but that won't be until mid 2007.

In the mean time you might want to try Soulseek.

rip pinochet

christian vogel - general arrepientase

Not bad.  An unusual sound, Herr Vogel has.  Heard him one time in Tresor, Berlin.  He kicked ass.

Not at all familiar with Superconductor, but can recommend his recent 2CD on Tresor (one live CD, one tracks CD)

I wouldn't recommend any other of his solo offerings on Tresor, mind.

Was browsing through www.tunes.co.uk last night and was most delighted to come across this http://www.tunes.co.uk/tunes/featured/11163.html (Skeewiff's Private Funktion album).  The 4th Track - Man of Constant Sorrow is a gem and courtesy of 'O Brother, Where Art Thou'   You've probably heard it already but think it's so quality worth mentioning again!

...because it was only released in the USA

The one I'm after is TVT 8722-2 - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dirty_Epic

Two recent purchases:

http://www.zero.co.nz/music/images/Bentley%20Rhythm%20Ace%20-%20Bentley%20Rhythm%20Ace.jpg

Bentley Rhythm Ace - funky, crazy, cool!

http://www.shellshock.co.uk/images/sleeves/IATDE030.jpg

Architects - Nightmares - Heavy, very good, a bit similar to sikth (who I saw them supporting)
