This is nice:

Walls - Walls

Quote
Perhaps continuing the crossover legacy left by The Field, Walls represent one of Kompakt's most interesting forays outside of        ██▓▓
    ██▓▓        the label's traditional techno heartland.          ██▓▓
██▓▓        This London band combine members from              ██▓▓
██▓▓        Allez-Allez and Banjo Or Freakout for an            ██▓▓
██▓▓        electronic indie-dance project that seems to        ██▓▓
██▓▓        pull out influences from classic krautrock,        ██▓▓
██▓▓        disco, ambient electronica and even modern          ██▓▓
    ██▓▓        psych-pop travellers like Animal Collective.        ██▓▓
██▓▓        'Burnt Sienna' opens the record in anthemic,        ██▓▓
    ██▓▓        quasi-Balearic fashion, taking on a subdued        ██▓▓
    ██▓▓        tempo but a luscious free-flowing sense of          ██▓▓
██▓▓        melody. Shifting into an almost tropical            ██▓▓
██▓▓        mode, 'Hang Four' fleshes out some                  ██▓▓
██▓▓        scrunched, atmospheric rhythmic loops with          ██▓▓
██▓▓        blissful, reverbed guitars - all of which          ██▓▓
██▓▓        add to a fresh, summery feel. Late into the        ██▓▓
██▓▓        album 'Gaberdine' arrives with vocals,              ██▓▓
██▓▓        raising one of the most pronouncedly                ██▓▓
██▓▓        pop-geared dancefloor moments and setting up        ██▓▓
██▓▓        the weirdo Paw Tracks-style vibes of closer        ██▓▓
    ██▓▓        'Austerlitz Wide Open'.                            ██▓▓
    ██▓▓

I'm finding The Twelves mixes to be making my toes tap over the past week.  1 hour long mix there, with links to a couple of shorter half-hour mixes.  Get their Essential Mix too, for two hours of two tapping ( :google: or TheMixingBowl.org).

Went to see Leftfield on Sunday at the O2 in Sheffield.  Fucking brilliant gig, although nowhere near as loud as when I saw them at the Octagon back in 2000 (could be down to not having two huge stacks of bassbins at the back of the venue this time).  Still brilliant though.

A few vids from others who were there....

A rather good Essential Mix from Greg Wilson  (one of the first residents at the Hacienda).

Some more mixes on his site (linked to above).

This isn't necessarily that funky or fresh, but DJ devises a new way to make noise

(Bit slow at the start!)

What happened to Kosheen? I used to love their album, Resist. Quick look at the website and it seems they are still gigging, but they seem to have dissapeared off the radar for years  :-\

T'is a mystery to me, embed a link t a news page and it will automagically embed the player, no idea about the rules.

How to do it using  html but thats not much use on these BBcode forums.

Simple Machines Forums has some a post about an add-on that will embed lots of video, including iPlayer but an admin would have to install that it may not be deisrable as it could screw everything else (YouTube/Vimeo/pictures) up (although it may be the Aeva plugin thats already installed and allows the simple pasting of the URL for YouTube and Vimeo already).

Yep, Aeva is already installed. Might needs some tweaking to allow iPlayer, not sure.
