That's a poor advertisement for dubstep.
I couldn't disagree more. Without invoking some sort of quantum logic and fractal opining, that is. I'm really enjoying every moment of this, more than any dubstep I've previously heard.

Loving The Whitest Boy Alive - Rules. If you like cheesy Euro Electropop (uncool though it may be) then check it out.

Anyone else see Paolo Nutini on Later last night? Blew me away. Thought his first album was shit, but this shows serious promise.

Now on the iplayer. Skip to 10:00 unless you're a masochist.

Edit: actually you probably have to sit through the first ten minutes for this to blow you away. Still a great performance.

Not my usual choice of listening, Jack Johnson has caught my ear and still has hold of it.  I'm enjoying various albums and would recommend any of them.

You can recommend any of them as it's impossible to tell them apart :)

Envy his life though.

Got some great music recently..

Lee Perry feat Samia Farah vs Kode 9 'Yellow Tongue' - a dubstep/tech house hybrid.

I got it on vinyl but I'm sure Boomkat or elsewhere have it on mp3.

The Yellow Moon Band Travels into Several Remote Nations of the World.  Instrumental pysch/folk/prog but with a errr I dunno uplifting screamadelica kind of feel to it.  Ace stuff and nice Summer Music.  I also got a 12" remix of three of the tracks that are more driving and dancy.. proper summertime  :dance1:  Those of you going to the Green Man will hopefully see them live.

The Horrors Primary Colours.  Garage/psych pop in a Phil Spector/Jesus and Mary Chain vibe. The new single Who Can Say is really good.

The latest Theo Parrish sound siganture 12"'s. An acquired taste for sure and the master of super deep minimal house music.  If you like proper old house Mr Fingers etc then Theo will float your boat.. his mix CD's are a mash of deep filtered old disco classics and his own minimal slow thumpers. His own 12", albums and 3 Chairs collaborations with Moodyman and Rick Whilite are the  8) shit...

Saw 'Hockey' on Jools Holland a few weeks ago, im not usually into that kind of music but loved the energy and big bass lines.
I recon their gonna be big after their album is launched end of August!

Not really funky, nor fresh but no other appropriate thread and I can't be arsed starting a new one.

Really enjoyed listening to last nights You Heard it at the Movies : Animation all about music scores for cartoons whilst driving back from Stoney last night.

Great the way the music evokes cartoon imagery in your head  8) and the click track thing is very clever.
