I've got so much techno/mnml/house goodness to share but I haven't found the time to get on here and provide loads of links, but here's one that will put you in the mood.

A 60 minute mix from Donnacha looking back over his DJing experiences in 2007. Full tracklisting included.

Enjoy.

It's a rare, rare day that I find myself championing French techno - a rare day indeed, so it's w/great pleasure that I hope to be the 1st to introduce you to POPOF

http://www.myspace.com/popofheretik

In particular the No Trace remix (which I could triple-drop w/absinthe & in Soapy's words *wibble* - out to for an eternity, and hope that I never get old and fade away).

First heard a more rawk version on the Blackout Radio show (www.blackoutaudio.co.uk) courtesy of Mark EG (who has great taste but whom I find personally, cheek-munchingly embarrasing)

Here is a 320 kbps / 130 min mix of the Blackout Radio Show recently aired on Moscow FM.  It is ace due to a half hour Bas Mooy (Audio Assault head honcho) mix, plus around the 67 min mark EG spins the No Trace remix and it's fucking huge.  Even Unc will/must agree that this is blinding.

Check it & don't forget Bas Mooy, who makes some of the most Earth moving techno is Europe.

BOA RADIO SHOW w/ Bas Mooy & Brixton

P2P guys.

If you happen to come across any POPOF mixes and would post a url that would be fab.  I can't find any. There must
be some as he's made about 30 records.  I'd love you forever if you could turf up anything recent.

Not holding out but thanks in advance.

It is a very rare occasion that I listen to an album and on that first play think that it deserves a recommendation on the Funky f-f-f-f-f-ffffresh beats thread but this is one of those times.

I present Fisk Industries Isle of Wight EP

Sounds like a full fat Boards of Canada with a hint of german electronica and some great sub bass action going on.

Also found two great mixes from Sunset Radio - the first "Explores the depths of Berlin's Rhythm & Sound extended family of labels, focusing especially on their "Main Street" imprint ñ for deep house and dark, eerie detached layers of dub traces."  mix 1

The second should please a few of the old skool on here being "A retrospective set of London's B12 Records." mix 2

Track listings here - enjoy!

Woo! WBAYINTL002 Spectrasoul - Some day soon b/w Blood Rain is finally out. I've been waiting for this to drop for over a year. Spectrasoul are a bunch of geniuses for producing such deep rollers.

Glad you like it.

Gentlemen, if I may guide you - the bit rates are nothing special but the Surgeon in Bristol 05 mix is really good, very eclectic.  And the Valentino Kanzyani / Matthew Hoag thing is very nice indeed, really smooooooth and sensitive sounds.

Stray Ghost

Particularly liked this one, bluebrad.

Right!

MNML is getting on my tits, really beginning to piss me off as it's effecting the club listings too much for my liking - Berlin is stupid now; torpid - damn it, open some MNML clubs and keep the established techno clubs for the real stuff.

So!

Over the past month I've been fighting it tooth & nail by immersing myself fully into the terrifying world of the Croatian techno scene which is notable for the amount of meat it keeps on the bone.  So if you're not scared of harder techno, check out:

Ogi LIVE PA @ Biotop Special - 25.01.08

And from these shores, Glenn Wilson

If that's all a bit fierce or bass-heavy, check out the myspace page of

ZERO (from Zagreb) who I'm liking very much.

I think maybe some of you ambient/experimental peeps may care for this (if you don't know already).

Dep (from Chicago, Illinois).  (Reminiscent of the laptop 'scapes of Rechenzentrum, I think.)

In a break from Techno...

I've been listening to Fridge's latest The Sun and I'm liking it a lot.  It's good that they have got back together to record another LP after Keiiran Hebden and Adem had put so much into their own careers.

An electro/punk/rock/mash-up mix Erol Alkan - 5 Days Off (16-07-2004.  Absolutely brilliant mix.

Had this for ages, but posting it here prompted me to seek out a track listing, and there are tons six of his mixes available as part of his podcast stream from http://www.erolalkan.co.uk/music/podcasts.rss.

Haven't found a track listing yet, but it appears this was recorded at a night in Amsterdam, so a track listing may be hard to come by.

You're quite lucky Falling Down . . .

I'm currently listening to a fucking mental 6 deck tech mix.  It's utter madness, definite wall entire cromlechs of sound territory, cognoscenti only.   Can't find the link now, fortunately eh?

Gaiser

This set is great. Better than the Audion or Magda set.  :dance1:

If you liked that, have another Gaiser set people. Turn it UP! Fuck the neighbours and their shitty dogs!

A G E N T  2 - Sound & Project (zip)

CONVERSATION WITHOUT WORDS

The project's aim was to observe if the emotions
of sound could be transformed into the visible.
This dialogue of the aural + visual creates a silent
conversation between the work of the two artists.
