Hallo, this iz zee Swedish  Axel Heijken - Back in Formation mix (77mins)

Can't help with new (bleak) Scandinavian CD's, but I'll be in Finland this summer so I'll check out any local shops I find.

Although this is ruining my 1000 post count, this mix is too good not to share. It is absolutely nothing like what Houdini posted above. This is Jay Haze at his finest, a 2 hour set from Napoli, dated 30/03/2007. Download, unzip, turn up, play, enjoy.

Left click me, I'm magic.

One is on the money with the Haze mix. Only problem being that I'm listening to it far too loud and am in a state of heightened being when I should be focussing my energies elsewhere.

A good sign Uncle ;)  :dance1:

Do you know about Dave Clarke Fiend? Had the joy of seeing him at Plug on friday night and as far as dark techno goes it was pretty damn good though not in the same bracket as Toumas Rantanen DJ sets that Houdini recommended.

Two albums for y'all:

Klute - Emperor's New Clothes - Did Fiend already plug this? Anyway, nice liquid Dnb.

65daysofstatic - The Destruction of Small Ideas - Possibly the greatest most epic live band ever release their third album. Not as good as the first two and similar in style to the first one. Still worth getting though.

For those who haven't heard Otto, check him out.

His album Samba Pra Burro will appeal to many of you I'm sure. A Brazilian artist who infuses Samba with electronica and produces some nice results.

A source.

fuck. i don't know if anyone else has been digging radcliffe and maconie on radio 2 at night but they've restored my faith in humanity. it's like the good old days when mark and lard did the late shift on radio 1. come in. as a consequence i've been listening to 'Johnny Boy' a lot:

http://www.myspace.com/johnnyboyuk

'Johnny Boy Theme' and 'You are the generation...' are particularly fucking awesome.

The latest from one of the best instrumental bands around:

Do Make Say Think - You, You’re A History In Rust

This is one of my favourite albums of the year so far.

Someone ban me from Juno  :(

Just got these:

http://www.juno.co.uk/ppps/products/253146-01.htm
You technonauts need this in your life. Slow paced, deep, dark and groovy.

http://www.juno.co.uk/ppps/products/148850-01.htm
And this too. Fast paced, upbeat, and groovy. On the party techno side but still "proper".

http://www.juno.co.uk/products/265748-01.htm
On the other hand when hard bleak Swedish dancefloor techno just isn't enough, you might need something harder, noisier, and bleaker...

http://www.juno.co.uk/ppps/products/229551-01.htm
Okay that was probably a bit much so time to chillout with some downtempo melodic electronica.

http://www.juno.co.uk/ppps/products/255460-01.htm
Suitably revitalised, it's time to head to the Far Far East for some varied, funky liquid drum'n'bass courtesy of the Hospital records camp.

http://www.juno.co.uk/ppps/products/261779-02.htm
And finally, upping the drum and bass pace with a recent compilation from long standing tech-step label Renegade Hardware....it's choppy out there.

You beat me to it. This is an excellent new album from the band, and actualyl features singing! I was shocked. If anyone wants a direct link PM me. I have uploaded a flac copy for a friend so you lot might as well benefit too! I'm not going to post the link since this is copyright etc and dont' want to piss Bubba off.

Anyone checked out new Wilco yet? In a similar vein, am really enjoying Chutes too Narrow, by The Shins. I'm a bit slow I'll admit.

I've been slightly put off by the mixed reviews for the new Wilco album, but did some more digging tonight for alternative opinions and listened to an excellent track and decided to go for it. (At the end of the day I have faith in Tweedy).

Ordered the Dinosaur Jr newbie too. Can't wait! :dance1:
