errrrrm... between perving on me neighbours niece, confusing havin a shit and havin a wank, ballsing up a wind up for the cocktalkers, wearing socks with climbing shoes, downgrading problems i haven't done, stereotyping the black race as a bunch of gun toting mofos and having a fairy as an avatar for a period of time...

i'd agree i probably didn't have any to loose in the first place.

in fact i could probably admit to enjoying animal pr0n and not sink any further in sum people's opinion :byebye:  :crying:

#129 Sams piano tape.
September 12, 2004, 12:34:08 pm
Going back to a early ninteys rave tip - anyone remember "Sams piano tape" that did the rounds in the mid ninetys.  Mixed by a mate of mine in Manchester about 94, DJ Suni. Seemed very popular at the time with the Sheff climbing/rave crew.

Anyhows - dug it out on tape, complete with track listing an all.

What the 411 on getting it uploaded. Any good software about to clean up the sound qualidy.

I suppose a decent tape deck and amp would be a start - if so - anyone got one - bubs? (ive got a crappy old walkman at best).

Track listing to giv you and idea

OPEN SKIES - mellow flow
SY KICK - nasty remix
MC LETHAL - the rave digger
SMART E's - Sesame St remix
SY KICK - E-motion
NICK OD - Have you got  anymore spam
D'CRUZE - World within a world
JEM 77 - forbidden planet
PRODIGY - one love remix
DANCE CONSPIRICY - Dub War
RACHEL WALLIS - Tell me why
SY KICK - music in the house
CRIMINAL MINDS - baptised by dub
SONZ OF A LOOP DE LOOP ERA - freedomism

N TRANCE - set you free
PRODIGY - one love
ACEN - trip to the moon
JONNY L - hurt you so
ELEVATION - can you feel it
FAMILY FOUNDATION - express yourself
KROME & TIME - the slammer
SMART E's - loose control
SHADES OF RYTHEM - extacy
NRG - feel the fury
PRODIGY - your love
SONZ of etc - Further out
SONZ etc - Peace and loveism

Cheesy but great fun  :D

Yeah, that was a sweet tape  :D

Would like another listen, not heard it for years.

You should be able to record straight onto a pc from the tape deck. You'll probably need to get a Y-lead to convert the tape deck phono leads into a single jack to fit the soundcard.

Then, just set your levels up and use something like soundforge to record it.

You can then mess with the levels in software to brighten it up. If there's a lot of noise/hiss etc then Dart Pro is apparantly pretty good for cleaning the sound up.

I've been meaning to dig out (hope I've still got it) and old Kenny Ken and Food Junky back to back tape from Vibealite which is shit hot, and the old skool community would love - so yeah, if you bring it up Sam I'll try to do the honours.

rawkus soundbombing 2 is a BIG album

Found this a bit relentless - must listen to vols 1 and 3 as well since they're on the hard drive.

boy, it is relentless - i thought i'd offer the full spectrum though. we had it on full whack the other week while cruising up the pass in glorious weather... nice.
.

been listening to this at work this week - its tight, like a tiger.

Got Skinnyman's album in the post. Don't like it - his accent grates, the samples inbetween won't be funny for the second time. The beats are fine but I just don't like his voice...

Bleh.

Agree on the quotes, they are a bit of an 'ache but at least they're at the end of the tracks so you can skip 'em.

Totally disagree on the accent though, he sounds like where he's come from - I know Mike Skinner gets stick for his accent, glad Skinny's keepin it r-r-r-real.

Has it stopped you getting to the lyrics? Think his rhymes are tight enough that the accent is kind of secondary...

If you find them funny then you may be missing the point of what he's trying to say.

although i too like to listen to 'music to kill people by' on a regular occasion the skits on the skinny joint are anoying as feeend says - i've gone through both this banger and the kanye west joint and deleted the skits on mi minidisc so i only have to listen to music on mi walk to work.

yours sincerely,

mr grumpy.

I think the skinny-skits are cool - it gives a good insight into what it's like being on the recieving end of police/social services bullshit.

but anyway, I agree Yossarian - Landcruising is great. As is everything I've ever heard that has Carl Craig's name to it. He is one of the greats, and plays a fine set too.

adam freeland fabriclive is really good.  maybe one of the top 3.  the plump djs one is probably my favourite, closely followed by the original james lavelle.

also on my list of most played is lee burridge - global underground 24-7...
