what y'all think about 2manyDJs ?

Nice enough to listen to and clever but it's got that slightly bland computer mixed feel - you can't beat live mixes imho.

That said, Osymyso's Introspection is wicked.

i should clarify: its not their own hip hop like amongst the madness. which was weak. its a really bo alternative mix which works a treat. its seriously worth checking out.

i've got a 2hour hangtheDJ mix (think it must have origniated from a radio broadcast) which is bo. its the one where after 2omins it goes quiet and theres the beach boys "god only knows" accapella over the top of Billy jean. genius.

they were amazing live, i agree with bubs that the mixes do have that automatically mixed feel to them, and the music sometimes goes up and down too much. but overall, they're bo

Welcome to 2002. If you haven't got, or heard, Play (the previous album) you must be one of few people in the known universe. I prefer it to 18.

What do peeps think of The Outlaws 'Too Many Fools Following Too Many Rules' - ? Or at least I think that's what it's called.  The track list mix looks good!

Just downloaded the Outlaws thing.

Hmmmm.....pretty good - like 2 many djs sort of thing where they mix unusual stuff up, but I sure wouldn't buy it, it's not that great.

Fook me, Cut La Roc! 'Hip Hop Bibbedy Bop'... Teks me back to the time I decided to be a world famous Disc Jockey and dance music producer    I bought a pair of second hand belt drive turtables and a copy of 'Brassic Beats' on Skint....

I've been checking The Go Team! - Thunder Lightning Strikes this morning. I like it. I think.

Although it's not quite up to the Avalanches standard as touted on R1

Not party music, but I just had a first listen to Christmas by Old Man Gloom -f*kin Class A Ambient/Math Metal.  Kind of like Neurosis meets The Swans meets Godspeed meets Slayer with some old analogue bubbling Hawkwind synth...  :rocker:  :rocker:

Somebody posted the link to this Paris based net-radio station on Metafilter:

http://radioabf.net/ (Alternative Bass Fréquence)

Good choice of tunes so far - just playing the superb  "Get a Move On" by Mr Scruff. (Though there is a bit of cheese thrown in)

(Realaudio or Winamp feed including excellent quality 256k feed for those on fast connections)

and:

d-i-r-t-y.com

for a great selection of realaudio mixes.

anyone know what the tune is on the section of dosage where dave grahem is climbing dual,

think it is bascially a remix of an old 9 lazy 9 tune by ninja tune with a load of vocals on top.

Not really to the taste of all the B-boy homies from the mean streets of sheffield, but been listening to the new Kings of Leon album "Aha Shake Heartbreak" for the last few days and its ace. Possibly not as accessible as "Youth and Young Manhood" but still excellent.

Might be up Si Panton's street though.

yo Bubba, was it you that was after a dead obscure Yoda Mix?

I just got a CD copy of an old Radio 1 One World mix from a while back off ebay, and there are folk on there selling loads of different mixes (stuff like "Jews Paid" etc)...thought that might help ya.

the radio1 essential unthugged is ultra-bo! i've always got it on heavy rotation, and at a mighty 2 hours long is ace for long climbing roadtrips.
