A bit of a long shot maybe but does anyone know anything about or have experience of climbing/bouldering in Ethiopia – specifically in and around Addis Ababa?
My trip isn’t sport related this time but I’ve got a weekend free when I’m there and it would be a chance to scope out some climbing for a longer visit in the future.
It would need to be somewhere accessible as a day trip from Addis.
I’ve got a bit of info about Armora Gedel
which fits the bill but I don’t expect it’s the sort of spot to turn up to and hope to find someone with knowledge/or climbing.
Alternatively any ideas about expat climbers/ local climbing community/ climbing wall would be appreciated.
Also any general non-climbing thoughts about visiting Addis would be appreciated...
