Yep.

That is pretty much on the mark for this household too.

The song is a pretty powerful anthem. It's almost a shame it has come out of the Disney stable, as that tarnishes it as a "commercial" product; when it is an emotive cry that resonates for a large number of people.

Waiting for a good, minor key, cover; with a strong, bluesy, female voice and minimal accompaniment, for my own preference....

the 3yo niece was gobsmacked by her flashing princess elsa dress though - which was lovely...

To be fair I'd rank the composers of 'lean on me' in the same irritated TT category after the 6yo nephew spent 3 solid days hammering out the base cords to varying degrees of success on the piano..

I've just not used to tuning out this stuff... I can work fine in a noisy coffee shop, ignore endless hours of wailing by the cat.. But not used to child induced noise.

Pleased that unlike just about every previous Disney princess, heroine doesn't have to wait passively to be rescued by the prince.

Independent, female, non-romantic love saves the day-  miles better subtext for little girls. Much healthier.

Hasn't exactly hit tgeir bottom line either, Disney is catching up the 21st century at last.
