but actually I just tested the bags, I didn't design them.
There are actually two bags, so the "faff to fill" one is called HULA.
I sort of agree about that issue to some extent, but i've actually found that loose chalk is actually easier to fill into it than block as long as you're not a total klutz.
I prefer the Kangaroo personally though. This is the one that has the second function for loose chalk.
I had 4 chalkbags and 2 types of chalkballs .. so I'm pretty well versed in chalk. After using chalkballs, loose chalk, and these new chalkbags, i've stuck with the kangaroo for a few months now and that's the only bag i use for climbing routes.
I guess what im saying is i found it's not "the equivalent" of a chalkball, it actually works better -- (otherwise i would be using a chalkball!). and yes it's easier to fill
