Ron's Slab (Crescent Arete)
November 13, 2013, 07:38:33 pm
Had a go at this slab today to the left of Crescent Arete - the first few moves are great but you eventually get pushed back right the arete. Does anyone know where the original problem goes? I'd like to go back with a couple more pads and do it properly!

Cheers!

Quick video of my progress...

No. I've tried a few times, best effort went further left than you (LH to crescent hold), and didn't use the CA pocket, but still started on the right. It felt a bit contrived too as I ended up rocking back left with right foot on the same crescent as you did your big move onto, with my knee and nose an inch from the pocket I eliminated.

I nearly managed a direct start  to the left crescent circa 2002 but snapped the best pebble off and gave up.

Great - thanks for the info, your way sounds far more credible! Still a bit of a mystery though...
