It's easier if the screens are the same. My Mac mini will only do one screen type if I split the cable. I have a hdmi splitter cable that I don't use...

So, how many TVs?
What kind of ins/outs do they have?

Are they all going to receive the same data?

Is it a professional event?

What is your budget?

You are in the least going to need a splitter box, and maybe a mini(macproprietaryconnector) to VGA.

A good bit of software is Resolume, which will deal with rendering all your video and distributing it to various sources.

Think you can do it to an Apple TV. If you have more than  one  not sure if they will stream at the same time or one at a time.

its not a professional thing at all.

i'm hosting a halloween quiz this weekend and groups are split into a few rooms, upstairs and ground.

they all do have usb and hdmi connections.

i was wondering if i could output the laptop to a router of some kind, and then the tv's would recieve the info via a dongle. but it seems like wishful thinking

If all fails, its down to a vga splitter to a couple of projectors via long cable

What about a projector in the garden and everyone looks out of the window?

HDMI splitter will be your best bet I think.

The projectors and resolume will work, but you will need a mini(applenonsence) to VGA adapter, then an active split.

Avoid passive splits if you are sending the data any distance. Active splits are definitely a better option, even if it means they go on eBay afterwords.

It is possible to send video over ethernet, but i wouldn't bother.
Not for a quiz.

yeah thanks for the suggestions

i'm gonna do a vga split as the projectors aren't that recent so no hdmi.
