The Beast Maker Timer is all I need/want from a timer but now ive turned to the dark side (I-phone) I cannot use it.

Please can someone recommend something to me for use on my wi-I phone? Ive d/loaded and tried at least ten now and their all naff!

I like Impetus, I use the Android version but I believe it's available for iOS too.

If you'd be willing (maybe via PM/Mail to avoid cluttering up the thread) which ones you've tried and what you foudn naff about them, I'd be very interested. I'm starting to develop some iPhone apps and need to learn a bit about what to do or what to avoid in the design.

Understood. Certainly seems to be an area where lots of beginner programmers without the slightest clue about design seem to try their hand.

Don't, for example, bother with Timer++ (unless you already have). Possibly the most obscure hunt-the-setup-screen game I've ever played.

"Seconds" appears to be present on my phone but I don't remember anything about having used it, perhaps I blanked the horror from my memory.

Then there was the one that stopped the running playlist when you started the timer, thus making it completely impossible to use for aerobic intervals. Deleted that one immediately, can't even remember what it was called.

I love "seconds" but it sometimes does weird things with the music as well.  This is normally due to user error rather than programming glitch though.

Eddy instead of worrying about how many fractions of second you are hanging off a board why not got climbing ?

I have the Beastmaker app on my iPhone.
Works ok for me.

marks your boring me now... I climb outside 3 days a week, the finger boarding is one day a week! I climb or train 5 or 6 days a week.
Your hatred of the f-board is your problem, not mine!

The Beastmaker app is whack:

Dosent do rests less that 2mins
End of rest warning isnt long enough to sort yourself out
Piano tones are horrendous!
No second counter beeps
Dosent store your custom timers
Dosent rotate properly on screen
Sometimes dosent cycle onto next hang set past rest timer

Seconds Pro for iPhone. Totally customisable timer, clear read out and multiple warning/countdown options. Best timer I've tried by far.

Dobbin must have a good app, when his bleeps he automatically cycles through his 3 problems on board
