Negatives
June 16, 2013, 10:40:24 pm
What are the benefits of training heavy negatives? I've heard, but not read into this, that very slow eccentric contractions (slowly lowering a heavy weight) leads to hypertrophy but little functional strength. Is this true? If the negatives are carried out faster, are strength gains better realised? What sort of set times and rest times should I be looking for to build strength and muscle?

Thank you.

I'm looking to apply this to forearms.

erm, sam

Thank you.  That will be worth a read.
