On April 27th here in Stoke AWCC, we will be holding a ‘Climbathon’. What’s that you ask? We are raising money for The Cheethams Childrens Centre at the University Hospital of North Staffordshire. There are sponsorship forms available from the desk, and soon as a downloadable form off facebook.
The aim is to get sponsored per climb and to do as many climbs as possible. All those entering the Climbathon automatically get entered our mini competition. With the competition, each graded route will be worth a certain number of points; get the most points and win some awesome prizes!
This is open to anyone, climbers or non-climbers. If you haven’t climbed before, don’t worry; we’ll be running free Induction sessions throughout the day, you just need to call up before hand, book in and pay standard entry for the day. Make sure you tell all your friends.
AWCC will be donating £2.00 from everyone’s entry into the final pot; so the more people that come, the more money goes to the Cheethams!
Home baked cakes will be on sale as well as some fun mini games and activities on the day.
We will be holding a MASSIVE charity auction towards the end of the day, auctioning all sorts of stuff; we may even auction off the staff. The auction is not to be missed!
And to top it off, we will be holding and after party, with fire and BBQ for all those who get sponsored.

The event starts at 10am, and finishes with charity auction around 7pm. After party - finish time 11pm
