Hi chris,

dont get me wrong, i think that an ascent of this problem is a fantastic effort and something that is very inspiring and something i would love to do. And i am in no way bringing down a very notable ascent by Jamie and will be the first to congratualte him when i see him.
I was just talking about the grade of this problem and what you can compare it to. For sure this problem would be 8b+ in switzerland, or even harder. But i dont think we should compare our grades to those from other countrys. I reckon that this link is of simiar difficulty to perhaps stamina band pump up the power combo, or perhaps a little easier, cus the holds are alot smaller on the first one. But thats given8b/8b+ so perhaps the trigger link is to. Like you said until i have done the problem, i wont know how it feels, so i best get stuck in for a repeat then.

I think malc thinks that it probably is 8b now, trigger cut has now had 9/10 ascents (add neil dyer and gaz parry to the list) so looks like its now 8a with new beta, holds and faggotery. As for Malc not being fit, i saw him cruise the big link today in 2 halfs with a short rest so i'd hate to see him when he is fit  :shock: Could be going down soon (no pressure malc). There seems to be a bit of a cave renaissance going on at the moment. Your a punter in there these days if you can't piss trigger cut :!:

p.s unendliche geschitte or never ending.. in magic wood may not be 8c but i reckon dave graham and bernd zangeryl would have done it long ago if it was 'only' 8b. They've tried it lots.
