Lego Death Star wanted
October 10, 2012, 01:55:51 pm
Bit of a long shot but has anyone got, or know someone who has, an original Lego Starwars Death Star (10143) they would consider selling ??

Sonia screwed up on an ebay auction recently and the current ones are on for silly money.

It will make a small boy very happy.

For reference I think he wants the '10143' from 2005....

Not '10188' from 2008-current...

and who can blame him?  8)

The new one is better for playing with as opposed to being an adult display item.

I don't think it is just an adult thing. Tommy is 11. He enjoys making them - then displays them.

Unfortunately when the occasional piece gets lost then he's distraught. Somehow the Luke Skywalker figure from his Jabba Sail Barge went missing during our house move and he was inconsolable for a whole evening but has come to terms with it and says that Luke must have fallen into the Great Pit of Carkoon !!

That's about the same size as the womprat holes I used to bullseye in my T-16 back home.

My eldest turned 5 last week, he got one of these...

and built it completely on his own, only made one small mistake.
Age range 5-12.

Cheers. Managed to get one off ebay in the end.

Also managed to track down the Luke Skywalker figure too which was a coup.

Random question, but does anyone know much about the value of limited edition Lego models? Got an chance to buy a couple at good prices compared to what they sell for on ebay.

I think your answer is in the question - Ebay is normally my first port of call when I want to know who much something costs...

Yeah, just find it a bit hard to believe. I've taken the punt, if they aren't worth selling, or the market gets flooded, it looks like Kyle will have presents sorted for his 12th birthday.

Thanks brilliant.

Like I said, I'm astounded.

Looks like unless the market is about to get flooded we've made a couple of sound minor investments, shame we couldn't get any more!
