Anyone used one much? The lad is getting too heavy to be safe / comfortable on the seat we were given a few years ago and by next spring his sister should be ready for bike rides, so thinking of upgrading to a dual trailer.

Anyone got any experiences? Mostly for use on forestry jeep roads or offroad cycle paths (old railway lines etc).

Burley and Croozer seem to get best reviews etc, but not cheap. Chariot looks very good, but too expensive to justify.

Never used one (went straight from hamax seat to TrailGator), but I've a colleague who's used them a lot for family holidays along the Canal de Midi etc. He loads up two trailers with camping gear and two kids and he and his missus do the pedalling. Apparently the double wheel ones are fine for tow-paths and OK for fireroads. As his kids have got bigger then they've done more cycling, with their bikes going on the top of the trailers when they get tired (kids inside). Biggest problem is when one of the kids has slept inside a trailer all day and is then mental in the campsite just when everyone else is knackered.

The single wheel ones are a bit more "go anywhere":

Single wheel ones look good but about as expensive as, or more than,  double. And TBH won't ever use them anywhere at all offroady.

Which one do you have nai?

Loads of cheap ones on Ebay from around £65. No doubt not as good as the branded ones but probably would be ok for road use and the occasional fire road.

Ideally we would like one that folds flat and can be used as a push chair. And can fit bikes with disc brakes and quick release wheels, which eliminates a lot of the lesser known brands unfortunately.
