Just found out I get to have a few days off and have access to a car. Checked the forecast and I'm keen on St Bees.
Not stayed at the farm before, but I'd really like to for convenience's sake. Problem is I can't get through on the supplied phone number
(as is par for the course with camp sites). I'm sure the camping barn is already full, but does anyone know if you can camp in the field beside it? I'm sure I've seen tents there, but I might be imagining it and there's no mention on the website.
Failing that, any other suggestions in the area (I'd like to avoid the £10/night static caravan park up the coast if possible).
ps If anyone want a lift from Sheffield let me know (leaving tomorrow morning, coming back Tuesday evening). I'm obviously going for the bouldering but I'd pack a rope out of curiosity, last time I was there there was still extensive rebolting being done.
