Sagittal Band Rupture..
March 23, 2012, 11:26:13 am
I think that I have damaged or ruptured my sagittal band on a couple of my fingers. When I make a fist the extensor tendons fall off the side of my knuckle and on a bit of research this does not look good...

Anyone else expirienced this or know what the best plan woud be. I have been told that I shoudl get myself down to A+E or to my Gp and surgery is the way forwards, but while I am tuck in the office thougth I woudl do a bit of research!

Any help would be great!

Ben!

The dislocation seems to be a rupture symptom.
As often said I'd try to avoid surgery.
Good luck!!!

I would get to A+E and then get a fracture clinic appointment.  If it is what you think, early splintage can avoid problems/ surgery later.
