forearm muscle ache after a beasting.....
February 01, 2012, 05:30:11 pm
Ive been stepping up intensity on the beastmaker, and Ive got to the stage of mono hanging (assistance with back two) My fingers feel absolutely fine. but the muscles near my wrist and up my fore arms are aching... is this were the tendons attach to the muscle and are adapting to the high loads? if any one has had this after pulling hard let me know if it is hitting near danger levels.

In my experience ache = good, pain = bad. I found that when I went from being a crimpmeister to climbing more openhanded I used to get aches further down my forearms, as i think a different place in the muscle does the work. Not sure of science though.

Thanks! Think your right, haven't had sort of ache from crimping. I guess it's doing me good, I should use the open hand grip more in my bouldering seen as I am training on that hand position they recon first three open hand is the strongest.
