County quick-drying venues
December 04, 2011, 10:13:24 am
Are there any sheltered quick-drying venues in Northumberland? I realise it's probably too late for today but it's blowing a gale and it pissed it down last night, so we need somewhere quick drying where we won't get lifted away by the breeze. Any ideas?

the only place in the county i would even consider climbing within a day or two of it raining would be kyloe in,which stays fairly dry in all but the heaviest rain.the rest of the venues you just run too higher risk of erosion if the rock hasnt dried fully.

Really? You mean places erode quicker when they're still damp? I hadn't learned that in 8 years of climbing and caring for the crags I climb on.
