Beastmaker campusboard?
December 13, 2011, 12:09:24 pm
I have reset the BM on the door frame, so that now I have room for front levers, one armers and the likes. I have the chance to put a second BM on top of the first, roughly 25 cm higher.
is it worth the cost of another BM?
anyone uses a BM campusboard?
benefits?
pros and cons?
bear in mind I have no normal campusboard anywhere.
thanks as usual.

anyone uses a BM campusboard?

They've got them setup in the Worls like this, albeit a little further apart (see video here).

No idea if it gets used in a campus-style though.

yes, I had seen the monster. mine would only be made of two, actually 30 cm apart, from top tp top.
I'm looking for feedback about its use, before buying another one.

I wouldn't be happy slapping for narrow slots, fraught with finger knackering possibilties. How about a campus rung or two above it? Cheaper option surely, as 80% of the holds on a BM you would never hit and/or hold dynamically. Well I wouldn't anyway.

I think it could benefit the ability to go from bad hold to bad hold and sticking it.
also, dynamic precision.
I imagine doing ups and downs on the 35° or the pockets, maybe some short sequences for PE.
plus I'd gain the obvious psyche and fame.

good advice, but where do I buy a small Turkish woman, and will she cost more or less than a BM?

Lore, a woman always costs more, way more; than a BM (although they do sometimes come with a BJ).
Try the campus rung to start.
If you make up a couple, with similar fixing points to the BM; you won't end up with a swiss cheese door lintle.
Make up a couple with different sizes/profiles etc.
If you're realy keen on working the accuracy you could always fix another bar above.

i think it's a good idea, after all climbing is all about moving between holds not just hanging on to them. 2 x more options than one bm. i'd get another if i didn't live so near the works.
