Texas Hold em SS
September 21, 2011, 02:17:16 pm
Can anyone shed some light on where this starts/what it uses? Had a look this morning but couldn't really figure out what to do.
Also, is it worth trying or will it ruin a fantastic problem?

Bit like this:

There's an edge with a pinchy sloper.  Use the pinchy sloper for the RH.  LH on diagonal undercut/sidepull thing.
Right foot on the Isla side of the arete.  LF as foot lock in Isla starting handhold.
Up to crimpy scoopy thing with RH, LH to starting hold of Texas.

Brilliant, cheers for that.
On a side note, and i'm assuming you're from round this way here, do you happen to know whether the walls at either Kendal or Preston (or any others for that matter) are worth a visit on a rainy day? I stuck my head in at the one at Lancaster Uni the other day but don't think i'll bother going back.

West View (Preston) isn't bad, gets changed regularly (although be aware they don't tell you when you pay!).

Not been to Kendal wall for over 15 years, so can't help there I'm afraid.

(Off Topic) Kendal is in the process of having a load of work done on it. Once it's finished it sounds like it will be a great venue. They've slowly been developing the upper floors with extra bouldering, so there's a fair variety of stuff to train on. Not sure when the latest phase is due to open, but I'd imagine it's fairly soon.

Lovely stuff, cheers folks.
I'm sure I'll get round to checking all the options out at somepoint anyway.
