Firstly hi, just joined.  Only got into climbing recently but i'm finding it super addictive and very enjoyable so far.  Anyway, got me a fingerboard after having a go on one a few times in the gym.  Great for training, slightly dangerous to your fingers/bones/tendons if overused I guess, but great fun and a way to enjoy climbing at home nevertheless. 

Anyway, here's mine.  Let's get this thread full of pics of everyone's set ups as it's good inspiration, an it's always good to have a butch at others handiwork:

er... hows about fixing the beast back board with bolts and wingnuts so it's removable
then covering the rest of the frame with say... plywood with holes and t-nuts!

In my living room doorway so I can listen to music as I train. I went the commercial route with the mounting panel as I didn't have the tools or skills to knock anything up myself. It also needed to be removable so I don't crack my head on it all the time.

Loft hatch is great idea - but loft doors tend to be in rather - ahem - boring place. My last failed BM mounting gave me a great view of the TV and I could put on some motivating choones..

The good thing about a loft hatch is that the board is easily removable. You can push it up into the loft when not in use. If you plan to keep it there then just remember to leave enough space to walk underneath it. Mine's in the hallway but faces into my office. I can set the computer in the office up so that I can see the screen while I'm using it (iplayer, climbing vids, music, etc)

I photographed mine straight after I'd fixed it up so, apart from a few test pulls, it was virtually unused. I imagine most fingerboard photos are taken in a similar moment of pride!

I would hazard a guess that 80% of finger boards sold are un-used. Until wooden boards, resin offerings were truly grim. I barely touched my old Rockworks version. It hurt.

It was (someone took it away) the version with two metal hangers molded in to mount some form of assistance. But yes, it was made of broken glass and cement.

Mine's resin and I've never really had a problem with it, been playing guitar heavily since before my 8th birthday though so the pads of my fingers are solid anyway. Having said that, it feels slightly different to the new holds at a climbing wall which heavily rip the shit out of my hands

Agreed. Horrible texture. I glued my old rockworks one onto my board and tore my fingers to bits...
