Total and utter shite, I wasn't even in the same room as the telly and that cnt still managed to wind me up. Famous friends watching and singing along to the mor tedious warbling of the smugest twat to walk this earth since Bono. It's says something of the gravitas of Glastonbury these days that the BBC get the heavy weights of broadcasting fearne Cotten and that gimp reggie Yates to offer us there incisive journalistic bollox.......
Ang actually just said that chris Martin is the new sting which is an insult enough in it's own right....

Just watched the feed.

I'd actually rather watch Coldplay than U2, though that's not saying much. At least Martin doesn't think he's jesus fucking christ like Bono does.

The problem with Coldplay is that Chris Martin isn't a very good singer. He has a weak voice that's all over the place. He just muddles through. There's singers on X-Factor that are way better than him. He certainly shouldn't be attempting to cover "Wonderful World", it just sounds desperate.

At the risk of being flamed etc.. I saw Coldplay at Manchester cricket ground last year - (mrsT got the tickets - honest..) and like many, while I liked their first couple of albumns I got a bit fed up of their stuff there after.. But it was a really good gig. They work the crowd really well and it was a good night out..

I'd loved to have seen bb king at Glastonbury, I saw him at hammersmith odeon 25 years ago (he was old then) and it was incredible.. Best gig I've ever been to I recon..

I wanted to beat Bono thoroughly after watching 10 mins of him prancing around like an aging court jester on stage. What an arse.

Unmitigated dog sick! My brother in law summed the weekend headliners (U2, Coldsplay and Be-fucking-once!) up perfectly IMO:

"In the old days they'd have been booed and had bottles of piss thrown at them til they left the stage"

The man likes The Only Way is Essex and had Paddy McGuiness' "Take Me Out" on series record.

Streets and QOTSA, diamonds amongst the rough by the sounds of it!

http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b0129g5h/Glastonbury_2011_The_Streets_and_Queens_of_the_Stone_Age/

hating on U2 is far too mainstream now, I might have to start liking them...
