Acupuncture survey : Please complete
April 18, 2011, 08:09:56 pm
A friend of mine is doing course in acupuncture and as part of her course needs to get some responses to this short and anonymous questionnaire. She is interested in perceptions about it so any response is useful regardless of your view.

Perceptions of UK Climbers to Acupuncture Survey

Cheers on her behalf.

I've done it too.

Is there any evidence that acupuncture has a real effect?

I'm not sure acupuncturists should be putting them in the same boat as the sugar pill salesmen!

It's considered a form of 'alternative medicine' though, isn't it?  If it was actually scientifically proven to work it would just be plain old medicine. ;)

Done.  It worked a treat for my tendonitis and compressed nerves in shoulder.  It made me feel a bit queasy though and I had to have a strong cup of tea and sugary bun to retain my composure  :-[

Luckily i had it in my lower back so didn't have to see it. Just lay there going "don't think about it, don't think about it", while imagination runs riot and in my mind my back looks like Hellraiser.
