I have no idea whether such a thing as an instructional DVD exists, but...

I'd do a search on YouTube for "bouldering techniques" (you've probably already done this)

What sort of thing would you want to see in an indoor technique film?

Definitely start by driving to the wall.....

speeded up?

plus some walking through the car park and chalky hand clapping? maybe some fist pounding? some over-caffeinated sugary drink company logos?

Don't listen to Stallion; he wants to be the only person at the wall who looks like they know what they are doing.

Gresham did some Masterclass DVDs a while ago, although I can't mention content having not seen them.

... borrow a bouldering mat & walk up the stairs carrying it. Perhaps a wide-angle shot looking vertically down the stairwell?

But seriously: I haven't seen Neil Gresham's DVD but it seems to get some positive reviews. The excellent book Self-Coached Climber comes with a DVD which isn't particularly great in itself, but is a worthwhile supplement to the book. Otherwise, see if there's anything else on Dave MacLeod's online shop - anything he stocks is likely to be of value.

I was thinking the Self Coached Climber would be a good choice for information on technique and stuff, though not in DVD form..

What you need is a vocabulary of moves and an understanding of how to use them. The traditional way is trial and error with some partners in crime, as well as watching and listening to the more experienced. I can see Neil's DVDs being pretty helpful though I've never watched one. They're going to shortcut some of the error, but the traditional approach really works.

Yeah the Gresham DVD's would probably be useful. They cover all the main techniques and training methods. If your experienced or are familiar with Greshams articles and training generally, then it's probably all stuff you've seen before but if you want to learn technique and training methods then they are pretty good.

Masterclass Part 1  is the one you want as it covers the technique and training in an indoor enviroment. It's a bit boring but there's lots of useful stuff.
Part 2 covers techniques at the crag for sport and trad climbing and applying the stuff in DVD 1.

Something for inspiration, rather than instruction:

I agree, the Gresham Masterclass DVD (1) is pretty good.

:agree: another vote for the first of the Gresham masterclasses. Contains lots of technique drills and really helped me when I bought it (after maybe 9 months of indoor climbing, mostly on top rope)
