Help with route names at Gorge du Tarn
February 14, 2011, 10:16:41 pm
I've just been climbing at Tarn but without a guide and trying to work out the route names from UKC and 8a.nu but can't work out the following:

The 6c+ and 7b on the left side of the Grand Toits and the 6b and 6a+ right of the corner right of Les Couilles Au Cul and also on the next buttress along from there (to the left looking in) which has some good looking groove lines - the right hand long 7a+ which starts as a grungy corner then arcs left to finish.

Cheers

From the guide:
Le Grand Toit
6c+, the only 6c+ is the 1st pitch of Guele d'Acier
7b, lots, but the route immediately R of the above is the 1st pitch of que la fete commence
Les Couilles Au Cul
6b, ou ca nous ca va
6a+, saveur d'epices
7a+, if it's the one I think it is it doesn't have a name of it's own, it's the 1st part of 3 routes: féerie pour une autre fois 8a, guignol's band 7c+/8a, and m*ck et le mystére de le chambre noire 8b/c.

guele d'acier
que le fete commence

beaten to it...

The guide doesn't give a specific name for the 7a+ first pitch, its listed under feerie and guignols as 7a+ 35m ou...
