new skin
November 25, 2010, 10:53:52 am
Hey, i've just started to get back into climbing after a lay off due to injury, work, life, and all the other goings on thaty get us distracted, im training 2-3 times a week but my skin doesnt seem to recover as fast as my arms and fingers. is there any way to help m skin recover faster so i can train more days a week, I work as a butcher and so my skin often is getting soaked and dried out with salt water and the cold, i had to stop using super chalk because it was drying my ski out too much n making it split.

Moisturiser will help with that, the various merits of different brands have been discussed before:

Elizabeth Arden 8hr - expensive
Lush Dream Cream
Palmers Cocoa Butter etc.

If it's too dry use climb-on, if it's too soft use antihydral.

Counter-intuitively, regularly sanding my finger tips has worked really well for me as it seems to stimulate faster re-growh than you sand off if you get my drift. Don't know where it was thought up - maybe by the bleausards.

Creams, sanding etc recently discussed here
