Queenstown, December
November 22, 2010, 11:30:53 pm
I arrive in Queenstown at about 2pm local time on the 8th December. I then have to kill time until Midday on the 11th December when I need to be back at the airport. I later have a day on the 21st free in Queenstown.

So what should I be doing? Where should I be kipping (cheap!)? Where can I go climbing? Who will climb with me? Any other essential beta for the place?
I'll be traveling on my tod most likely so if anybody is about for a climb then I'm game.

It will be roasting hot - sod climbing, get on a jetboat, go whitewater rafting, or something you won't be able to do anywhere else!

That time of year is southern hemisphere summer holidays combined with xmas holidays, so if it's anything like SA sort out accommodation now. There are dozens of backpackers in QT, of variable quality. It's quite a party town, usually overrun with backpackers looking for cheap thrills.

What are you doing over there?
