what are advantages of having a kick board on a woodie? thinking of putting one one mine?

Erm room to put your feet on for low starts without your heels dabbing the floor?

You just waste the bottom several feet of board as you can't fit your feet in there.  Don't go stingy on the kickboard either, I had a board with a 6" kickboard and wished I had made it 12" for ease of use.  Just put really poor footholds (or screw some 2p's onto it) if you want to be hard
