Tears of a Clown, Sennen
June 07, 2010, 10:31:08 am
Was down this way last week with my girlfriend, and went for a look at this on the shunt.  Have to admit I got completely shut down.  As in couldn't even get close to doing the moves.  Does it take a pretty direct line up the face, and not go out to the arete on the right?  If so then it's frickin nails!  I've been trying Homegrown, 8a+ at cheddar recently, and made a LOT more progress on that.

Any experience of this route?  Any clues?  Am i just a fat weak punter?

Might be worth psting on the other channel, as M Edwards seems to be on there a bit.

Once in the scoop I headed up and right, then back left and up through the thin breaks. There were two diagrams in my guide at the time (the 2000 West Cornwall, North Coast). One just showed a straight line up the middle (close to, but without showing, 29 Palms) and the other showed the line I took.

Spreyer mentioned something to that effect last week.

Cheers andy.  Makes more sense.  That central direct line would be an awesome route for someone with stronger fingers than mine.  You should go for a look.

I'd need a pretty big pad these days I reckon.

Not really. Please don't hurt him.

Yes thanks, it was a bit warm, but any trip where Dave fails on a 5+ route is a great one.
