Yep, I get it. There's two arguments pushing against each other. The first is that we shouldn't oversell stuff because of our local's enthusiasm, the second is that we shouldn't insist that quality should always be judged against the likes of El Cap. On top of that, don't let's undersell quality because it's not cutting edge difficulty. On balance, I'd argue the UK has some brilliant lines, even if not many that we'd say were the best in the world.

If you can get the weather I think there is bouldering in the uk which is worth travelling for but definitely not sport routes,  there are some fun ones but nothing approaching anything good on mainland Europe.

Looks like he came into very close contact with that massive flake below the crux on one of his falls, puts the grade a bit more into perspective seeing that. Amazing looking line, fair play to James Pearson.

Great film, great repeat, great FA by James although he really needs to stop prattling on about Walk Of Life and downgrading butthurt already  Love the detail on the crux, sweaty palm falls and the intricacy of it all. Funny that the world's first E12 is - like the world's first E11 - a slightly bollox line linking between much stronger lines (in this case La Voyage), but still looks like amazing climbing, and as they say, amazing that it is just possible with what the rock allows.
